My 9 year old boy was suffering badly from anxiety caused by his mothers addiction issues. This culminated in him refusing to go to school or be separated from me in any way. I was losing my lovely outgoing child as his whole personality was turning on its head. Aoife took him on as a client and within a few sessions, he was back attending school, football training and the laughing outgoing boy I knew, I could see returning. Of course, it is a long road for any family facing difficulties. My son has been attending play therapy for a year now, the work Aoife has done with him has been amazing, he can express his feelings, get upset and get over it and yet still be the fun loving, social child his was before all of the anxiety began.
